Closed-form error estimates for the numerical solution of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind (Q1001609)

The authors investigate the following two main problems (1) closed-form algebraic formulae for the local error incurred in the numerical solution of integral equations for a class, and (2) the discrepancy between theoretically predicted error and the actual numerical error under suitable conditions by using iterated collocation methods and the approximation of the finite-rank degenerate kernel.
