The author had visited Leibniz's grave in the modernized Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche (in this church, of the Hanoverian court, Leibniz's burial took place on December 14, 1976, a month after his miserable death). Writing the essay was motivated by the statement ``the place of Leibniz's grave is unknown'' found by the author in some books. The article contains many details of Leibniz's death, the events surrounding his burial, and his grave. In particular, there are reported results of the examination of the tomb inscribed \textit{Ossa Leibnitii 1716} and Leibniz's remains found there, done by the Prussian pathologist \textit{W. Krause} on July 9, 1902 [Anhang zu den Abhandlungen der Königlichen Preussischen Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Berlin vom Jahre 1902, Verlag der Königl. Akademie der Wissenschaften, Berlin (1902)].
