A polymer is a large molecule comprising monomers which are put together via chemical processes referred to as polymerization. The polymers structure are defined as paths in a multi-dimensional Euclidean integer space, and it is assumed that these paths are random with a probability measure which may be either the quenched Gibbs measure, the average quenched measure or the annealed Gibbs measure. The book itself is divided in two parts: the first one (chapters 1 to 7) which considers polymers with self-interaction, and the second one (chapters 8 to 12) which deals with polymers in random environment. The first part considers successively soft polymers, elastic polymers, polymer collapse and polymer adsorption. The second part examines successively charged polymers, copolymers near a linear selective interface, copolymers near a random selective interface, random pinning and wetting of polymers, and polymers in a random potential. The chapters are practically mutually independent, so that the reader can begin his reading anywhere, but this is not recomended.
