The main subject of this paper is to study the asymptotic behaviour of minimizers of the Ginzburg-Landau energy \(E_\lambda (u)=\frac{1}{2}\int _{A_\delta }(|\nabla u|^2+\frac{\lambda }{2}(1-|u|^2)^2)\), where \(A_\delta \) is a perforated domain with periodic holes of size \(\delta \), for \(\delta \rightarrow 0\) and \(\lambda \rightarrow \infty \). The authors formulate such assumptions on \(\lambda \) and \(\delta \) which ensure the existence of a sequence of the minimizers and their approximations by minimizers of suitable simpler problems.
