A combination of a continuous process, namely the three-body problem, with a discrete one provided by the process of random walk is used in order to study several important topics from astrophysical sciences: the formation of the Moon, the instability of asteroid orbits, the ejection from the Sun-Jupiter system. Two main concepts, \textit{horseshoe orbit} and \textit{breakout motion}, make this paper very interesting.
