Interval oscillation for second order sublinear differential equations with a damping term (Q1006530)

Summary: We present new oscillation criteria for the second order nonlinear differential equation with a damping term \[ (a(t)y^{\prime}(t))^{\prime} + p(t)y^{\prime}(t) + q(t)|y(t)|^{\alpha - 1}y(t) = 0, t \geq t_0 \] where \(0 < \alpha \leq 1\). Our results are illustrated with examples.
