The purpose of the present paper is two-fold. Firstly, it provides a detailed analysis of the non-linear time-asymptotic stability of the Knudsen layers involving (and it is its main innovation) the Green's function of the Boltzmann equation. Secondly, it reconsiders some large-time stability problems, and it is shown that using Green's function is a useful way to get results which have previously obtained by the \textit{S. Ukai, T. Yang} and \textit{S.-H. Yu} [Commun. Math. Phys. 236, No. 3, 373--393 (2003; Zbl 1041.82017); ibid. 244, No. 1, 99--109 (2004; Zbl 1083.82028)].
