Let \(\pi_*(S)\) denote the \(p\)-local stable homotopy groups of spheres at a prime \(p\) greater than five. Then, H. Toda and J-K. Lin, respectively, constructed the elements \(\gamma_{s}\in \pi_{2sp^3-2p^2-2p+1+2s}(S)\) and \(\omega_{m,n}\in \pi_{p^nq+p^mq+q-4}(S)\) of order \(p\). In this paper, the author shows the non-triviality of the Toda bracket \(\langle \gamma_s,p,\omega_{n,m}\rangle\in \pi_*(S)\) for \(n\geq m+2>6\) and \(3\leq s<p\). This is proved by showing the following two statements: the corresponding element in the Adams \(E_2\)-term is not zero, and nothing hits it under the Adams differentials. The \(E_2\)-terms of the Adams spectral sequence converging to \(\pi_*(S)\) are evaluated by the May spectral sequence. The author verifies that the relevant May \(E_1\)-terms (and \(E_2\)-terms for \(s=p-4\)) are trivial by comparing degrees of generators of the May \(E_1\)-terms. This shows that no differential hits the corresponding element in both the May and the Adams spectral sequences.
