Let \(P\) be a poset. The symbol \(\text{Id}(P)\) denotes the poset of upward directed downsets in \(P\), including the empty set. \(\text{id}(P)\) denotes nonvoid members from \(\text{Id}(P)\). It is proved that a poset \(P\) admits no order-respecting map from \(\text{Id}(P)\) into \(P\). Then it is shown that an upper semilattice \(P\) admits no semilattice homomorphism from any subsemilattice of itself onto \(\text{Id}(P)\). Further, the classical theorem on posets having the ACC \((P\) has the ACC iff \(P\cong \text{id}(P))\) is strengthened in the paper.
