Let \(H\) be a Hilbert space and let \(\mathbb{B}=\{x\in H: \|x\|<1\}\) be its open unit ball and \(\rho:\mathbb{B}\times \mathbb{B}\rightarrow [0,\infty)\) be the hyperbolic metric on \(\mathbb{B}\). A mapping \(c:\mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{B}\) is called metric embedding of the real line \(\mathbb{R}\) into \(\mathbb{B}\) if \(\rho(c(s),c(t))=|s-t|\) for all \(s,t\in \mathbb{R}\). The image of \(\mathbb{R}\) under \(c\) is called a metric line, while the image of a real interval \([a,b]\) under such a mapping is called a metric segment. For any two distinct points \(x\) and \(y\) in \(\mathbb{B}\), there is a unique metric line, called a geodesic, which passes through \(x\) and \(y\). This metric line determines a unique metric segment joining \(x\) and \(y\), denoted by \([x,y]\). For each \(0\leq t \leq 1\), there is a unique point \(z \in [x,y]\) such that \(\rho(x, z)=t\rho(x,y)\) and \(\rho(z, y)=(1-t)\rho(x,y)\). This point is be denoted by \((1-t)x\oplus ty\). Similarly, for \(r\geq 0\), \((1+r)x\ominus ry\) denotes the unique point \(z \in \mathbb{B}\) that satisfies \(\rho(z, x)=r\rho(x,y)\) and \(\rho(z, y)=(1+r)\rho(x,y)\). A set-valued operator \(T:\mathbb{B}\rightarrow \mathbb{B}\) with domain \(D(T)\) and range \(R(T)\) is said to be coaccretive if \(\rho(x_1,x_2) \leq \rho ((1+r)x_1\ominus ry_1, (1+r)x_2\ominus ry_2)\), for all \(y_1 \in Tx_1, y_2 \in Tx_2\), and \(r > 0\). For a coaccretive operator \(T\) and for each positive \(r\), one can define a single-valued \(\rho\)-nonexpansive mapping, called the resolvent of \(T\), by \(J_r((1+r)x\ominus ry)= x\), where \(x \in D(T)\) and \(y \in Tx\). The main aim of the paper is to study the resolvents of coaccretive operators with respect to the asymptotic behavior of their compositions and metric convex combinations. Two cases are considered: (1) when the given coaccretive operators share a common fixed point and (2) when they share a common sink point on the boundary, for which weak convergence theorems and strong convergence theorems, respectively, are established.
