The authors establish sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions of a certain even order half-linear damped differential equation. Main methods in proofs are integral averaging and Riccati techniques. It has to be noted that the question of the existence of solutions on the interval \([t_0,\infty)\) of this nonlinear differential equation is not addressed in the paper.
