Let \(A\left( \mathbb{K}\right)\) be the space of invertible upper triangular matrices over \(\mathbb{K}\), a finite extension of the rational numbers \(\mathbb{Q}\). The author describes the Poisson boundary of the group \(A\left( \mathbb{K}\right)\). Generally, the Poisson boundary provides useful information about a group, including the asymptotic behavior of random walks on the group. The proof is based on a result by \textit{V. A. Kaimanovich} [Ann. Math. (2) 152, No.~3, 659--692 (2000; Zbl 0984.60088)]. The current paper gives a generalization to higher dimensions and to different extensions of \(\mathbb{Q}\) of results by S. Brofferio for the \(2 \times 2\)-matrices with rational entries.
