The author studies a family of Hamiltonians \(H(\omega)\) which describes the propagation of an electron in a materia of \(N\) coupled layers in the case \(N=3\). The potential is a random potential with a Dirac delta distribution on the diagonal. The author proves that \(H(\omega)\) almost certainly has no absolutely continuous spectrum. The Hölder continuity of the Lyapunov exponents is also proved. The results extend the study of the model under investigation by the author and \textit{G.\,Stolz} [Electron.\ J.\ Differ.\ Equ.\ 2007, Paper No.\ 47 (2007; Zbl 1187.82055)] in the case \(N=2\).
