The authors construct a \(C^\infty\) flow on a closed three-dimensional manifold, with a partially hyperbolic attractor, that is non-trivial (not a periodic orbit), and contains a singularity, that is not of the type found in the Lorenz system, and a non-trivial hyperbolic repeller. The construction of this flow is done by considering a suspension flow on the two-torus, and doing two surgeries.
