\textit{L.\,D'Apuzzo} [Ann.\ Istit.\ Univ.\ Navale Napoli 45/46, 123--138 (1976/77; Zbl 1176.47054)] studied the notions of good and special convergence of the successive approximations of an operator on a metric space. The authors extend these studies to Bernstein operators, introducing the concept of dual monotone convergence. An application to the structure of the set of L-R fuzzy numbers with continuous graph is given.
