For solving the nonlinear equation \(F(u) = f\) in a Hilbert space, where \(F\) is monotone and twice Fréchet differentiable, the authors employ a discrete version of the so-called dynamical systems method and prove its convergence. The aim is to develop an iterative process discrepancy principle for finding a stable solution to the above equation given noisy data. The method is illustrated for the example of a nonlinear Fredholm integral equation.
