This paper defines the notion ``\(X\) has generically rationally generated arcs'' as, roughly speaking, ``for a general point of \(X\) every arc passing through the point comes from a rational curve''. Then the author proved the relation among this property, the unirationality and the rational connectedness. Then, for a generic complete intersection subscheme in the projective space, the class of the locus of 1-arcs which come from lines is explicitly described in the intersection ring of the projectivized tangent space of the projective space. The paper also provides with the bounds of the number of lines passing through a general point of a projective variety.
