Let \(\Lambda\) be a finite-dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field \(k\) of finite global dimension. For a complete set \(P(1),\dots,P(n)\) of nonisomorphic indecomposable projective left \(\Lambda\)-modules, the Cartan matrix \(C_\Lambda\) of \(\Lambda\) is the integer-valued \(n\times n\)-matrix with entries \(c_{ij}=\dim_k\Hom_\Lambda(P(i),P(j))\) for \(1\leq i,j\leq n\). The Coxeter matrix \(\Phi_\Lambda\) of \(\Lambda\) is defined to be the matrix \(\Phi_\Lambda=-C_\Lambda^{-t}C_\Lambda\), and the characteristic polynomial \(\chi_\Lambda\) of \(\Phi_\Lambda\) is called the Coxeter polynomial of \(\Lambda\). Let \(M\) be a finitely generated \(\Lambda\)-module, and let \(\Gamma=\Lambda[M]\) be the one point extension algebra. In this paper the author shows how to compute the coefficients of the Coxeter polynomial of \(\Gamma\) from the coefficients of the Coxeter polynomial of \(\Lambda\) and certain homological invariants of \(M\).
