The author formulates a mixed initial boundary value problem for the Lame wave equation in a finite simply connected domain, bounded by a surface which contains smooth closed disjoint singular lines and conical points. In order to solve this problem, the author introduces three potentials: {\parindent=4mm \begin{itemize}\item[--] elastic retarded potential of simple fiber; \item[--] elastic retarded potential of double layer; \item[--] volume elastic retarded potential. \end{itemize}} For each potential, it is proved a theorem that asserts the existence of such potential and the fact that the respective potential satisfies the homogeneous Lame equation (respectively, the non-homogeneous Lame equation in the case of the volume potential) with initial and boundary conditions. Next, the author prove a theorem of Lyapunov-Tauber type with regard to the elastic retarded potential of double layer and a jump relation in the case of a singular line at the surface of the domain. In the last part of the paper, the asymptotic form of solutions of Lame wave equation near singular points of the boundary of the domain is obtained.
