New Q matrices and their functional equations for the eight vertex model at elliptic roots of unity (Q1024224)

Baxter introduced a \(Q\) matrix to compute the eigenvalues of the transfer matrix of the eight vertex model without firstly computing the eigenvectors. This work has been previously extended by the authors who defined a new \(Q\) matrix, and the present paper is a continuation which states some new results in this framework. Mainly, it is shown that the new \(Q\) matrix exists for all roots of the unity, their explicit expressions are obtained, and some conjectures are stated.
