Let \(M\) be a \(W^*\)-algebra, \(E\) be a \(W^*\)-correspondence over \(M\) and \(H^\infty(E)\) be the Hardy algebra generated by them. The authors describe how a normal representation \(\sigma: M \to B(H_\sigma)\) gives rise to a dual correspondence \(E^\sigma\) and denote by \(\mathbb{D}((E^\sigma)^*)\) the unit ball of the space of adjoints of \(E^\sigma\). They define a generalization of the Poisson kernel, which reproduces the values on \(\mathbb{D}((E^\sigma)^*)\) of the functions coming from \(H^\infty(E)\). The obtained representation theorems are generalizations of the Poisson integral formula and formulas developed by \textit{G.\,Popescu} [J.~Funct.\ Anal.\ 161, No.\,1, 27--61 (1999; Zbl 0933.46070)] and related to those of \textit{W.\,Arveson} [J.~Reine Angew.\ Math.\ 522, 173--236 (2000; Zbl 0951.47008)]. The authors relate their Poisson kernel to the idea of a characteristic operator function and show how the Poisson kernel identifies the ``model space'' for the canonical model that can be attached to a point in \(\mathbb{D}((E^\sigma)^*)\) (see \textit{P.\,S.\thinspace Muhly} and \textit{B.\,Solel} [Integral Equations Oper.\ Theory 53, No.\,3, 411--452 (2005; Zbl 1108.47058)]). They also connect their Poisson kernel to the idea of curvature and complement results (see \textit{P.\,S.\thinspace Muhly} and \textit{B.\,Solel} [Proc.\ Lond.\ Math.\ Soc., III.\ Ser.\ 87, No.\,3, 748--778 (2003; Zbl 1057.46053)]). Their results partially extend those of \textit{G.\,Popescu} in [Adv.\ Math.\ 158, No.\,2, 264--309 (2001; Zbl 1002.46029)] and \textit{D.\,W.\thinspace Kribs} [Integral Equations Oper.\ Theory 41, No.\,4, 426--454 (2001; Zbl 0994.47007)].
