    The author is investigating the stability and asymptotic behavior of integral equations of mixed type (Volterra-Fredholm) of the form \[ x(t)= h(t)+ \sum^n_{i=1} A_ix(t)+ \sum^n_{i=1} B_i x(t), \] with the operators \(A_i\) and \(B_i\) given by \[ \begin{aligned} A_ix(t) &= \int^t_0 \Biggl(\int^{t_1}_0\cdots\Biggl(\int^{t_{i-1}}_0 a_i(t, t_1,\dots, t_i) f_i(t_1,\dots, t_i, x(t_i))\,dt_i\Biggr)\cdots\Biggr)\,dt_1,\\ B_i x(t) &= \int^\infty_0 \Biggl(\int^{t_1}_0\cdots\Biggl(\int^{t_{i-1}}_0 b_i(t, t_1,\dots, t_i) g_i(t_1,\dots, t_i, x(t_i))\,dt_i\Biggr)\cdots\Biggr)\, dt_1.\end{aligned} \] The underlying space is \(BC(\mathbb{R}_+,\mathbb{R}^n)\) of continuous and bounded maps from \(\mathbb{R}_+\) into \(\mathbb{R}^n\). The main tool in proving the existence and the behavior of the solutions is the classical Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem, generalizing both contraction mapping and Schauder's results. Natural conditions are provided for the operators \(A_i\) and \(B_i\), such that the existence of a ``small'' solution is assured.
