The authors study the existence of positive solutions for the equation \[ -u''(t)=f(t,u(t))\quad\text{a.e. }t\in(0,1), \] when \(f(t,u)+\omega^{2}u\geq0\) for \(u\geq0\) and some constant \(\omega>0,\) and for the perturbed equation \[ -u''(t)+\omega^{2}u(t)=h(t,u(t))\quad\text{a.e. }t\in (0,1), \] when \(h(t,u)\geq 0,\) subject to various non-local boundary conditions. They establish the existence of positive solutions for non-perturbed boundary value problems at resonance via the equivalent non-resonant perturbed problems. Several examples are considered.
