In the same setting as the previous paper [Duke Math. J. 148, No. 2, 251--279 (2009; Zbl 1171.37003)], polynomial approximation arguments are made to establish a form of equidistribution for sufficiently differentiable curves under natural geometric hypotheses, in particular not requiring that the curve be analytic. The methods use both Ratner's theorem classifying ergodic invariant measures for unipotent flows on homogeneous spaces of \(SO(n,1)\) together with local growth properties of smooth curves and dynamical properties of linear actions of \(SL_2(\mathbb R)\).
