From the authors' abstract: For the case \(q\geq 0\), \textit{L. Olsen} [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 133, No.~3, 459--485 (2002; Zbl 1047.28005)] has attained the exact rate of convergence of the \(L^p\)-spectrum of a self-similar measure and showed that the so-called empirical multifractal moment measure convergences weakly to the normalized mulifractal measure. Indeed, the problem of analysing the \(L^p\)-spectrum for the case \(q < 0\) is generally considered significantly more difficult since the \(L^p\)-spectrum is extremely sensitive to small variations of the measure \(\mu\) in this case. In [\textit{J. Xiao, M. Wu} and \textit{L. Olsen}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 338, No.~1, 726--741 (2008; Zbl 1132.28002)], it is shown that the self-similar measures satisfying the Open Set Condition (OSC) are Ahlfors regular, and therefore the exact rate of convergence of the \(L^p\)-spectrum of a self-similar measure satisfying the OSC for \(q < 0\) is obtained. The authors applied the results from [Xiao, Wu and Olsen (loc. cit.)] to show that the empirical multifractal qth moment measure of self-similar measure satisfying the OSC convergenes weakly to the normalized multifractal Hausdorff measure for \(q < 0\).
