The author applies the additive Schwarz method for solving of integral equations of the first kind for the uniform \(h\)-version of the Galerkin method on an algebraically graded mesh (two-dimensional case is considered). It is proved that the condition number of the preconditioned system grows only polylogarithmically with respect to the number of unknowns. Numerical examples are given.
