It is well known that, in the isotropic case, the round sphere is the only constant mean curvature embedded compact surface in Euclidean space of any dimension and the constant mean curvature immersion of the sphere \(S^2\) in \(\mathbb R^3\). On the other hand, in higher dimensions, the result for the immersed case fails even for the isotropic case. In this paper, the authors consider a similar problem where the surfaces have anisotropic structure depending on their normal direction. They prove that the constant anisotropic mean curvature immersion of the sphere \(S^2\) in \(\mathbb R^3\) is unique if the surface energy density is close to the isotropic one.
