An adding machine map (also called an odometer map) \(f_{\alpha}\) is defined on the \(\alpha\)-adic machine. In the paper continuous maps on graphs are considered. Sufficient conditions for a point in the inverse limit space to be a local endpoint in terms of the dynamics of \(f\), are given. In particular it is exposed the relationship between the existence of adding machine dynamics and local endpoints.
