Hyperbolic regularizations of conservation laws (Q1033793)

The investigations of problems in kinetics for hyperbolic regularizations of conservation laws, initiated by Volevich and Radkevich, regarding the Chapman-Enskog conjecture are continued in the work. The objective is to carry out the study of the conjecture in the linear case for linearized problems. It is presented the linear analysis of the formalization for the construction of the Chapman-Enskog projection for the general case, which required the investigation of the 10-moment and 13-moment approximations of the Boltzman kinetic equation. The linear and linearized problems enabled to study the Cauchy problem with insufficient information about the initial data and to jusify the Chapman-Enskog conjecture.
