A Hankel matrix is a square complex matrix \(H\) whose \((i,j)\)th entry depends only on the sum \(i+j\) of the indices. The normal Hankel problem (NHP) seeks to describe the Hankel matrices which are also normal. Several simple classes of Hankel matrices are known to be normal, including all scalar multiples of real Hankel matrices. In an earlier paper [see \textit{V. N. Chugunov} and \textit{Kh.D. Ikramov}, Linear Algebra Appl. 430, No.~8--9, 2094--2101 (2009; Zbl 1163.15029)], the authors show that all normal Hankel matrices which do not belong to these classes lie in classes which can be parametrized by real \(2\times2\) matrices \(W\) of determinant \(1\). In the present paper they settle NHP for all cases except when the Jordan form of \(W\) is a Jordan block of size \(2\). In the exceptional case it is enough to consider the situation where the eigenvalues of \(W\) are either both \(1\) or both \(-1\). These are the two particular cases left open.
