Let \[ d_{l,m}:=2^{-2m}\,\sum_{k=l}^{m}2^{k}\Big({2m-2k\atop m-k}\Big)\,\Big({m+k\atop m}\Big)\,\Big({k \atop l}\Big), \] where \(0\leq l\leq m\). This sequence of numbers appears in the evaluation of a quartic definite integral. The authors present several remarkable properties of the sequence \(d_{l,m}\) and pose some interesting conjectures.
