Nonlinear parabolic equations have been extensively investigated by monotone iterative methods both analytically and numerically [e.g. \textit{C. V. Pao}, SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 24, 24--35 (1987; Zbl 0623.65100) and Numer. Math. 79, No.~2, 261--281 (1998; Zbl 0911.65075)]. The object of this paper is to extend the stationary monotone parameter to the nonstationary monotone parameter and to give comparison results by using Picard, Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel iterative methods.
