The paper is devoted to the study of dynamics of the so-called Cournot-like models, i.e. \(n\)-dimensional discrete dynamical systems which constitute the mathematical environment for modeling some economic and biological processes. For the interval \(I=[0,1]\) let \(\phi_i:I\to I\), \(i=1,\dots ,n\), be a family of continuous mappings of \(I\) into itself. A continuous map \(\phi\) from \(I^n\) into itself is called a Cournot-like map if it is of the form \[ \phi(x_1,x_2,\dots ,x_n)=(\phi_{\sigma (1)}(x_{\sigma (1)}),\dots , \phi_{\sigma (n)}(x_{\sigma (n)})), \] where \(\sigma\) is a cyclic permutation of the set \(\{1,2,\dots ,n\}\). Main Theorem. Let \(n\geq 2\) be an integer and \(\phi\) is a Cournot-like map other than identity. The following properties are equivalent: (1) \(h(\phi)=0\), (2) the period of any periodic point is a power of two, (3) \(UR(\phi)=Rec(\phi)\), (4) \(AP(\phi)=\{z\in I^n:\lim_{n\to\infty}\phi^{2^n}(z)=z\}\), where \(h(\phi)\), \(UR(\phi)\), \(Rec(\phi)\), and \(AP(\phi)\) stand for the topological entropy and the sets of uniformly recurrent, recurrent, and almost periodic points, respectively.
