A representation formula for indefinite improper affine spheres (Q1034874)

Starting from the affine Weierstrass representation formula for affine minimal surfaces in 3-space there exist many representation formulas especially for improper affine spheres with definite or indefinite nondegenerate affine Blaschke metric. The author constructs such a formula in the latter case using para-holomorphic functions, based on para-complex numbers \(a+ jb\) with real numbers \(a\), \(b\) and \(j^2= 1\). Hereby singularities may occur which are investigated seperatedly.
