Stable one-dimensional quasi-periodic cocycles on unitary group (Q1034896)

For the \(d\)-dimensional torus \(\mathbb{T}^d\), the author studies stable one-dimensional quasi-periodic \(C^\infty\) cocycles on the unitary group \(U(N)\), \(N\in\mathbb{N}\). It is proved that any cocycle on a generic irrational rotation is a limit of reducible cocycles. The proof is based on \textit{R. Krikorian}'s renormalization scheme [Ann. Math. (2) 154, No. 2, 269--326 (2001; Zbl 1030.37003)] and on a local result by him [Astérisque 259, 1--214 (1999; Zbl 0957.37016)].
