In the present article the inverse problem of determination of the sorption isotherm for a nonisothermal mathematical model of sorption dynamics that incorporates diffusion, intradiffusion kinetics, and the heat balance is considered. Two numerical methods for approximate solution of these inverse problems derived from experimental output concentration and heat curves are suggested. The first one is based on descriptive regularization with the gradient method, while the second one is based on the application of a traveling wave solution. The results of a computer experiment demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithms for solving the inverse problem. The first method can be applied to all values of time and spatial coordinates, although it requires parametrization of the sorption isotherm function. The second method is fast and demands no regularization; however, sufficiently large values of time and spatial coordinates are necessary for the establishment of the parallel transport regime.
