At the beginning of their paper the authors prove identities between certain arithmetic functions using the theory of modular forms. Then they prove the following: Theorem. Let \(p>7\) be a prime with \(p\equiv 3\pmod 4\). There exists a cusp Hecke eigenform \(f\in S_2(p)\) such that \[ L(1,f)L(1,f,\chi)\neq 0, \] where \(S_2(p)\) is the space of cusp forms of weight \(2\) on \(\Gamma_0(p)\) with trivial Nebentypus, and \(\chi\) is the quadratic Dirichlet character associated with the field \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-p})\).
