On sum-product bases (Q1039645)

Let \(\mathbb{F}_p\) be the finite field with \(p\) elements, \(A,B\subseteq\mathbb{F}_p^*\), \(s>2\), \(\lambda_1,\lambda_2,\ldots,\lambda_s\in \mathbb{F}_p^*\) such that \[ \min\{|B|^{s/2}|A|^{(s-2)/2},|A|^{s/2}|B|^{(s-2)/2}\}>p^{s/2}. \] The author proves that \[ \sum_{i=1}^s\lambda_iAB=\mathbb{F}_p. \]
