The article deals with the system of mappings of the form \[ \overline{x}^i = \sum_{k=1}^n \varepsilon_{ik} P f(x_k), \quad i = 1,\dots,n,\tag{1} \] where \(f: {\mathbb R}^m \to {\mathbb R}^m\), \(P\) an \((m \times m)\)-matrix composed of zeros and units, \(\varepsilon_{ik}\) an \((n \times n)\)-matrix with \(\varepsilon_{ii} = 1 - (n - 1)\varepsilon\), \(i = 1,\dots,n\), \(\varepsilon_{ik} = \varepsilon\), \(i \neq k\). The main results are concerned with the partial case when the mapping \(f\) has a form \[ \begin{cases} \overline{x} = x + \sum y_i - ag(x), \\ \overline{y}_j = \lambda_j(-b_j g(x) + y_j),\end{cases}\tag{2} \] where \(x, a,y_j,b_j\), and \(\lambda_j\) are scalars, \(j = 1,\dots,m - 1\), \(g(x)\) is a scalar-valued function. The authors present conditions under that there exists a number \(\lambda_0\) such that, for \(\max \;\{\lambda_j\} < \lambda_0\), the mapping (2) has an absorbing region \(D\) of the form \(D = \{(x,y): \;x \in X, y_j^- < y_j < y_j^+, \;j = 1,\dots,m - 1\}\), and hence this mapping has an attractor \(A \subset D\). Furthermore, the authors describe the situation when the mapping (2) has a hyperbolic attractor. In the end of the article it is considered the case, when the mapping (1) is a system of \(n\) coupled mappings of the form (2); in particular, it is described conditions when the corresponding mapping (1) has the dissipation region, conditions when (1) has a linear invariant variety \(L\), and, at last, conditions when the attractor of (1) is hyperbolic on the variety \(L\).
