The volume under review is addressed to advanced students, researchers and engineers specialized in filtering theory, system theory, and digital images analysis. Its content is organized into nine chapters, clustered in two parts. The first part is devoted to the introduction and seven further chapters dealing with algebraically approximate and noisy realization of discrete time dynamic systems, including the additive noise analysis, and several modifications of the linearity concepts. The second part includes exactly one chapter devoted to algebraically approximate and noisy relation of digital images with special stress on two-dimensional images. The volume is completed by references and index.
