It is shown, among other things, that real Banach spaces having dimension greater than or equal to three can be equivalently renormed to have non-smooth points which are also non-exposed. Recall that a point \(x\) from the unit sphere \(S_X\) of a Banach space \(X\) is said to be exposed if there exists a supporting functional for \(x\) which is not a supporting functional for the elements \(y\in S_X\setminus\{x\}\); and a point \(x\in S_X\) is called a smooth point if it has exactly one supporting functional. Some other renormings concerning strongly non-smooth points as well as uniformly nonsmooth points are also given.
