A Mendelsohn triple system, \(MTS(v),\) is a pair \((X,\mathcal{B})\), where \(X\) is a \(v-\)set and \(\mathcal{B}\) is a collection of cyclic triples \(<x,y,z>\) so that each ordered pair of elements of \(X\) occurs in exactly one triple of \(\mathcal{B}\). An \(MTS(v),\) \((X,\mathcal{B}),\) is called pure if \(<x,y,z>\in \mathcal{B\Rightarrow }<z,y,x>\notin \mathcal{B}.\) The pairs \(<x,y,z>\) and \( <z,y,x>\) are called converse pairs. Further, a large system of \(MTS(v),\) \( LMTS(v),\) is a collection of \(v-2\) Mendelsohn triple systems \((X,\mathcal{B} _{i})\) where \(\left| X\right| =v,\) and \(\mathcal{B}_{i}^{\prime }\)s constitute a partition of all cyclic triples on \(X.\) In the paper the authors study \(LMTS(v)\) comprising pure Mendelsohn triple system, and containing exactly \(\left\lfloor \frac{v-2}{2}\right\rfloor \) converse pairs. Some constructions and nonexistence results on such \(LMTS(v)\) are provided.
