Generalized Hermite-Padé approximation for Nikishin systems of three functions (Q1044647)

The paper is devoted to a generalization of the simultaneous Padé approximation, first considered by \textit{E. M. Nikishin} [Anal. Math. 8, 39--46 (1982; Zbl 0495.10022)]. More exactly, the authors consider Nikishin systems of three functions and for such systems the rate of convergence of simultaneous approximation is studied. The main result of the paper is Theorem 1, where the mentioned rate of convergence is described in terms of the solution of a vector equilibrium in the presence of a vector external field. Reviewer's remark: The proofs of the main results are nice and very clean.
