The space \(\mathcal{S}_\kappa\) contains generalized Schur functions of the form \(s=s_0/b\) where \(s_0\) is a Schur function (analytic and contractive in the open unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\)) and \(b\) is a Blaschke product of order \(\kappa\) with poles in \(\mathbb{D}\). Rigidity refers to the fact that \(\kappa+1\) reasonable interpolation data in \(\mathbb{D}\) will uniquely fix \(s\in\mathcal{S}_\kappa\). In this paper, interpolation data are prescribed on the boundary \(\mathbb{T}=\partial\mathbb{D}\), which should be satisfied by the nontangential limit of \(s\). The main result says that the functions in \(\mathcal{S}_\kappa\) (\(\kappa\) minimal) behaving as \(\tau_0+\sum_{i=k}^{2k-1}\tau_i(z-1)^i+O\left((z-1)^{2k}\right)\) for \(z\to 1\) nontangentially are rational functions described as a linear fractional transform of a constant \(x\in\mathbb{T}\). They are equal modulo \(O((z-1)^{2k})\) terms, and two solutions that differ in \(O\left((z-1)^{2k+2}\right)\) will be identical. Here \(k\geq1\) is an integer, \(\tau_i\in\mathbb{C}\) with \(\tau_0\in\mathbb{T}\), and \(\tau_k\neq0\). The result of \textit{D. M. Burns} and \textit{S. G. Krantz} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 7, No. 3, 661--676 (1994; Zbl 0807.32008)] is a special case for \(k=1\), \(\tau_0=\tau_1=1\), which in this paper is proved under angular convergence instead of unrestricted convergence. A particular example is analysed, prescribing \(\alpha z+1-\alpha+O\left((1-z)^4\right)\) for \(z\to1\) nontangentially, with \(\alpha\in(0,1)\) and one pole inside \(\mathbb{D}\).
