An old result due to \textit{F. Lukács} [J. für Math. 150, 107--112 (1919; JFM 47.0260.02)] states that, when \(f\in L^1(0,2\pi)\), we have \[ \lim_{n\to\infty}\frac{\sigma_n(x)}{\log n} = -\frac{D_x}{\pi} \] where \(D_x = f (x + 0) - f(x - 0)\) exists at some point \(x\) and \(\sigma_n(x)=\sum_{\nu =1}^n (b_\nu \cos \nu x-a_\nu \sin \nu x)\) is the \(n^{th}\) partial sum of the conjugate Fourier series of \(f\). Various analogous results exit in the literature. In the paper under review, the author first proves a similar version for suitable local integrable functions (Th. 1). Then he extends this to Cesaro means (see Th.2) and more generally to some summability methods associated with regular matrices.
