Consider in the space \(L_2[0,1]\) the ordinary differential operator \(L\) generated by the differential expression \[ \ell (y):=y^{(n)}(x),\text{ for }x\in [0,1] \] and by the two-point two-term boundary conditions \[ U_{\upsilon }(y):=\alpha _{\upsilon }y^{(\upsilon -1)}(0)+\beta _{\upsilon }y^{(\upsilon -1)}(1)=0,\upsilon =1,2,\dots,n, \] where \(\alpha _{\upsilon },\beta _{\upsilon }\in \mathbb{C}\) and \(\left| \alpha _{\upsilon }\right| +\left| \beta _{\upsilon }\right| >0\) for \(\upsilon =1,2,\dots,n\). In the paper, a geometric classification of the operators \(L\) over the degree of their irregularity is given. The completeness of the root functions of the operator \(L\) is proved for \(\beta _{\upsilon }\neq 0\) \((\upsilon =1,2,\dots,n)\) and if \(L\) belongs to a certain irregular class.
