Combination of Newtonian and continuation technique is applied to solve the differential equations specifying solute and water flow in a multinephron, multisolute model of the kidney. The authors have shown how the Newton method and continuation method are combined to obtain the solutions of kidney models. It is possible to follow the solutions as a function of the parameters describing tubular or vascular transport in the model. The authors have been able to conclude that the solutions of the kidney models provide additional support for the assumption that physiologically important correlates may be found in the mammalian kidney. With the development of steady state solutions for a given choice of parameters starting with the boundary values as initial data they have done good work for further reference in this field.
