The paper deals with three examples of integrable relativistic field theories on 2-dimensional space-time namely Federbush, massless Thirring and continuum Ising models. Such theories possess soliton solutions on the classical level, the fact which is reflected by a simple structure of scattering matrices for quantized theory. The aim of the author is to discuss the scattering theory for these models in a mathematically rigorous fashion. The existence of wave operators and scattering matrices is proved and the explicite forms of S-matrices are rigorously derived. They agree with those obtained previously in a formal way. It is shown also that the same forms of S-matrices may be obtained for a large class of Hamiltonians. For background informations on the discussed integrable quantum fields see the paper by the same author published in Ann. Phys. 132, 328-382 (1981).
