Let \(\Delta^{n-1}\) be a hyperdistribution in a domain \(D\) of an \(n\)- dimensional projective space \(\mathbb P^ n\) and \((x,\xi)\), where \(x\) is a point of \(\mathbb P^ n\) and \(\xi(x)\) is a hyperplane through \(x\), be an element of \(\Delta^{n-1}\). An integral curve \(\ell\) of \(\Delta^{n-1}\) is said to be asymptotic if at each point \(x\in \ell\) the two-dimensional osculating plane \(\pi(x)\) of \(\ell\) belongs to \(\xi(x)\). \(\Delta^{n-1}\) is said to be flat if all directions belonging to a \((x,\xi)\) are asymptotic. It is known [see \textit{R. Miron}, An. Ştiint. Univ. ``Al. I. Cuza'' Iaşi, N. Ser., Sect. I 1, 43--52 (1955; Zbl 0068.35302), \textit{B. M. Ostianu}, Tr. Geom. Semin. 4, 71--120 (1973; Zbl 0308.53002) and \textit{V. V. Kaĭzer}, Geom. Sb. 15, Tr. Tomsk. Univ. 258, 20--49 (1975; Zbl 0473.53012)], that a hyperdistribution defined by a null-system in \(\mathbb P^ n\) is flat. The main result of the paper under review is to prove the converse statement: any flat hyperdistribution is determined by a certain null-system.
