Equations of turbulent flow (Q1057733)

In the present paper, an attempt is made for the first time to determine theoretically the change in the degree of turbulence at the outer edge of the boundary layer. The obtained results can be used as the missing boundary conditions in the solution of the boundary layer equations. We write down in general form the equations for the kinetic energy of the pulsation motion and the additional vorticity (pseudo-vorticity). The equations are considered in two special cases: in the boundary layer approximation and in the approximation corresponding to the flow far from the wall, when one direction is predominant and diffusion effects can be ignored.
